Jocelyn Létourneau, Canada Research Chair in Quebec Contemporary History at the Université Laval, added that there is virtually no reliable information on what history teachers actually say in class. “They are bound by the course objectives,” he said. “But before we start to make changes, we should have more studies on what students learn in class now.”
