Jocelyn Létourneau – 1759 and the future of memory in Quebec

The debate that stormed over the commemoration of the event proved that it is not easy to negotiate the meaning of this founding moment of Quebec’s destiny. Yet, it has been 250 years since « the English burned our farms and bombed our city ». What is to be done today with the Conquest, its history and memory?
